As i promised yesterday i m gonna share one of my best recipes with you guys of the brownie cake !!!
My very good friend who’s a Cardiologist gave me the best compliment when he said that “this cake could get a dead Man Alive”, guess docs have their own way of appreciation,haha!
I have used Ferraro Rocher chocolate in this cake to decorate it but u can use any chocolate of your choice
So for this cake U need
1 cup butter room temperature
2 cups dark chocolate chips
2 cups granulated white sugar
2 cups APL/ maida
3/ 4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/ 4 cup yoghurt/ curds
2 tsp vanilla extract
Half a cup chocolate chips for sprinkling on top
Preheat the oven to 200deg centigrade
Take 9″ tin n line it with parchment paper
Take the butter n chocolate chips in a bowl n microwave on high for 2 minutes, keep checking n make sure that the chocolate doesn’t burn or u can use the double boiler method
For the wet ingredients
Take a bowl n put your melted butter chocolate mixture in it n hand whisk it, then add the sugar n whisk again, add the vanilla, n the curds n whisk everything well
For the dry ingredients
In a separate bowl mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda n mix well
Then add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients n whisk everything well together n see to it that there are no lumps ( add the dry ingredients little by little)
Pour the batter in the lined pan, sprinkle the chocolate chips n tap it well so that there are no air bubbles !
Bake in the middle rack of the oven for 40 to 50 minutes, depending on your oven keep checking after 40 mins by inserting a knife in the cake , if it comes out clean then your cake is done, do not overbake or also underbake as the texture of the cake will not be good, so be very careful if you are new to baking
Let it cool overnight n then decorate with the Ferraro Rocher or any other chocolate, simply apply a little melted chocolate n stick the Ferraros n sprinkle some decorative stars!!!
If you want to make it with eggs, simply add 3 eggs, n cut down the butter to 3/4 cup, flour to 1 1/2 cup, cocoa to half cup n put only 1tsp of baking powder and no baking soda n yoghurt n follow the same procedure!!!!
